"When I embarked on my journey to master the craft of hair cutting, I encountered a significant challenge: holding my shears correctly. My fingers, smaller than the rings of my cutting shears, struggled to find the right grip, often leading to awkward hand and wrist positions.

The frustration was real—I found myself overworking, sometimes slipping into laziness and the dreaded 'chomping' motion. Even with those old plastic rings that you somehow layer over each other (what are they even called?), my fingers remained sore and callused over time, desperately seeking comfort and cushioning that seemed elusive.

After years of relentless research, dedicated product development, and rigorous testing, I'm thrilled to unveil the solution I've invented. Today, I'm excited to share ShearRings with you.

My mission is simple: to empower fellow stylists in customizing their cutting grip and alleviating muscle soreness caused by repetitive motion. ShearRings are meticulously designed to offer the support you need to maintain a comfortable and effective cutting grip.

With a solid foundation in education and a diverse professional journey, I bring a wealth of experience to the world of beauty and innovation. My journey began at Indiana University, where I earned a degree in Apparel Merchandising & Business in 2007. I delved into the realm of retail management while in school, dedicating a decade to honing my skills and gaining valuable insights into the industry.

In pursuit of my passion for the art of hair dressing, I furthered my education at the prestigious Douglas J Aveda Institute in Chicago, graduating in 2010. This marked the beginning of a dynamic 13-year career behind the chair, where I seamlessly blended creativity with precision, serving clients both full and part time.

To fuel my entrepreneurial aspirations, I spent a decade as an Executive Assistant, and still work full time for a major tech company. This professional detour played a crucial role in building the foundation for my latest venture – the culmination of years of dedication and innovation – ShearRings.

ShearRings, born out of extensive research, product development, and a desire to revolutionize the hairstyling industry, is my brainchild. As I begin this journey with ShearRings, my mission is to empower stylists, offering them the support they need to customize their grip and perfect their craft.
